Environmental Responsibility

Schettine & Nguyen is a green law firmAll aspects of our business are analzyed and reviewed for its impact upon the environment.  From our new office, which was sustainably designed and constructed, to the type of paper we use in our copiers, our efforts are geared to minimizing our carbon footprint.                                                             

Our green initiatives include:                                                                           

  • Recyling center
  • Shredding and recycling all paper used in our office  (saved 21 trees in 2008; 38 trees in 2009; and 36 trees in 2010)
  • Using only recycled 100% or 30% post-consumer content copy paper
  • Using 100% recycled bathroom tissue and paper towel products
  • Sponsor of a recycling center at various conferences attended by the attorneys of Schettine & Nguyen
  • Using Compact Florescent Lightbulbs (CFLs) throughout our office
  • Car pooling
  • Employees walking to work

Our green office includes:

  • Bamboo floors
  • Tankless on-demand hot water heaters
  • Energy efficient light fixtures and light-bulbs
  • Paints with no/low volitile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • Ceiling fans throughout the office to minimize air conditioner use

  • Countertops made out of paper and natural resins (paperstone)
